This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we need it and what rights you have.

Who we are

We are Adapt Displays Retail Manufacturing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 10862016. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice, which means we decide how and why it is used.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

  • your name
  • your company name, if you give it
  • your email address
  • your telephone number
  • your message and anything you include in it

If you email or call us instead, we collect the details you give us and use them in the same way. You don’t have to give us any details, but we can’t reply to an enquiry without them.

Our web host also keeps standard server logs of visits to this website. These record technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time.

How we use it

We use your enquiry details only to reply to you and, if you ask, to quote for your project. Our lawful basis is either:

  • legitimate interests — our interest in answering enquiries about our work; or
  • steps before a contract — things you ask us to do, such as preparing a quote, before we agree to work together.

We use server logs only to keep the website secure and working properly, which is also in our legitimate interests.

Who handles your data

These service providers handle personal data for us as processors. They may only use it on our instructions and must keep it secure.

  • [form provider, e.g. Formspree] receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our inbox. It may also record your IP address to help filter out spam.
  • Our web hosting provider runs the server for this website and keeps its logs.
  • Our email provider stores the messages we receive, including your enquiry.

If any of these providers store data outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by safeguards recognised in UK law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

We don’t share your details with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as we need to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, then we delete them. If we go on to work together, we keep the records we need for the project and for tax and accounting for as long as the law requires.
  • Server logs: kept by our web host only for as long as they’re needed to keep the website secure and working properly.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • get a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access)
  • have it corrected if it’s wrong (rectification)
  • have it deleted (erasure)
  • ask us to limit how we use it (restriction)
  • object to us using it (objection)
  • receive it in a format you can reuse elsewhere (portability)

Some of these rights only apply in certain situations. To use any of them, contact us using the details on this page. We’ll normally reply within one month, and there’s usually no fee.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn’t set any non-essential cookies, and we don’t use analytics, advertising or other tracking tools. Our fonts are hosted on our own website, so your browser doesn’t connect to an outside font service.

Links to other websites, such as Google Maps and our LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages, take you to services that have their own privacy and cookie policies.

We’ll update this notice if the way we handle personal data changes. The latest version will always be on this page.
